"I had two kids and I didn't like the way I looked anymore," shared Santa Clarita resident Lara M., 35. "I breastfed both of them, which I'm very proud of - but when I was done, my chest looked really deflated. I didn't look good in clothes, I was self conscious."

The mom struggle is real, as Lara can attest. We do the best we can for our kids and are often left feeling literally drained of our former selves. "I finally decided to get a breast augmentation because I had to feel better about myself. I wasn't hoping to look like a bikini model afterwards; I just wanted to look and feel more like my 'old' self again," shares Lara.

"I LOVE THE WAY I LOOK now. I feel like myself again. This wasn't about 'going bigger,' it was about getting my shape back. It's fun to get dressed up and I have so much more confidence in and out of clothes. As a mom, I was worried that the healing process would be tough with two kids, but after two days I was off all pain medication and I was able to do stuff around the house no problem. Really, my only regret is that I didn't do this 10 years ago."

After deciding on the augmentation, Lara interviewed a variety of plastic surgeons. "I did a bunch of consults, but the doctors I met with just didn't seem to 'get' that I wanted the result to look really, really natural. I'm tiny - a 32 A/B in bras - and I didn't want it to be obvious that I had work done. Then I met with Dr. Heller and I could tell instantly that he was really hearing me and truly understood what I needed out of the procedure. I was still really nervous, which, looking back, I shouldn't have been. But he and his amazing, sweet staff really put my mind at ease," recalls Lara.

"Lara made it very clear that she wanted an incredibly-natural result," says board-certified plastic surgeon and owner of Heller Plastic Surgery, Dr. Justin Heller. "We chose Gummy Bear implants because they have a gorgeous, flattering natural shape that fit her body beautifully. They look, feel and move like natural breast tissue and come in hundreds of shapes and sizes, so we were able to choose the exact implant shape and size that would best match Lara's body type."

Says Lara: "I deeply trusted Dr. Heller, so before the surgery, I decided that I would leave the final decision on precise sizing to him. I was thinking that 325 cc's would be the right size, but in the end, he went with 330 cc's because once operating, he was able to more accurately gauge how much tissue space needed to be filled to give me the look I wanted. He made the best decision! I'm now a 32 D and you wouldn't know I had surgery unless I told you. My breasts don't sit up high and look like 'mine' without being saggy. If I want to show them off, I put on a push up bra. What I love about this size is that I can achieve different looks - whatever I'm in the mood for. I tell other moms: 'Do it! Trust Dr. Heller and know that he will totally take care of you.' He's so caring and knowledgeable - and his staff is incredible. Everyone made me feel safe and comfortable. This is, without a doubt, the best thing I've ever done in my life. I feel 1,000 times better about myself. "
