GNP/ICP Scholarship Golf Classic
Pictured are the first-place winners of the fifth-annual GNP/ICP Scholarship Golf Classic held on June 13 at Robinson Ranch. The team, sponsored by Salt Creek Grille and Affordable Quality Moving and Storage, are Brad Uptgraft, Dave Dyck, Casey Kirkman, Joe Greiner, Dave Fong, David Breslow and Tucker Brown. The tournament raised over $230,000 to be used for scholarships for pharmacy students attending USC School of Pharmacy and Western University School of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy who are pursuing careers as independent community pharmacists. In addition, The Institute for Community Pharmacy will receive $50,000 to be used for continuing education for practicing pharmacists.

Local Business Owner Honored at Santa Clarita Symphony Fundraiser
Virgil Walker, founder and president of Auton Motorized Systems, received an award for Visionary Leadership and Outstanding Support at the Santa Clarita Symphony's first annual fundraiser, Evening Under the Oaks. The event was hosted by City Councilman Bob Kellar. Andy Pattantyus, Santa Clarita Symphony board pesident, presented Walker with the award saying, "Virgil has been supporting the symphony long before anyone else had even heard of the idea. No one has been as generous as Virgil and no one has shown such unwavering support along the way."

Newly-private TPC Unveils Expanded Clubhouse
The Tournament Players Club at Valencia has unveiled a beautiful new clubhouse offering members and guests over 3,800 square feet of dining at the Oaks Grille with a glass enclosed atrium, a brand new veranda as well as a 5,000-square-foot locker room for the male members. Foundation for Children's Dental Health of Santa Clarita Event
More SCV children are smiling brightly because of two local dentists, Gina Dorfman and Carla Abboud of Dentistry for Kids & Adults. Along with generous volunteers, the pair provided free dental care to local kids from low income families last month. The event was organized by the Foundation for Children's Dental Health of Santa Clarita and was hosted by Dr. Dorfman at her Canyon Country office. The team was assisted by registered dental professionals Shannon Hanrahan, Al Cornejo, Jessica Gonzalez and pre-dental student Jason Lam.
