New Administrative Medical Assistant Program Offered through COC Community Education Filling Up Fast
Community Education at College of the Canyons is offering a new training starting October 4. In 11 weeks, students can learn employable skills in the Administrative Medical Assistant training program. The administrative medical assistant program is offered in collaboration with Boston Reed College and is designed for working adults. The classes will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the College of the Canyons Valencia campus. At a cost of $1,775, the fee includes books and supplies. Students must be at least 18 years of age to participate in this program. Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Celebrates 35 Years of Service to the Community
On August 26, the non-profit community hospital celebrated 35 years of providing high-quality health care to the residents of the Santa Clarita Valley. A celebration was held in the hospital cafeteria featuring a look at the hospital's past, a celebration of today and a glimpse of future plans to transform the hospital into a world-class medical facility.
