•  The Secret Garden - The Masters University Presents "The Secret Garden" Continuing their celebration of the 10th anniversary of the revival of The Master's University Theatre Arts, Master's is delighted to bring this gorgeous, musical adaptation of Francis Hodgson Burnett's "The Secret Garden." Marsha Norman and Lucy Simon's music and lyrics are a perfect addition to this beloved story of forgiveness, redemption and the importance of love and community. After her parents' untimely death in India, lonely Mary Lennox is sent to live with her reclusive uncle in Yorkshire, England. Members of the household and community reach out to Mary to try to soothe her broken heart, but they are surprised by the ways she - with the help of a forgotten and secret garden - is used to bring them together.

•  25th Annual Cowboy Festival - Presented by Heritage Sierra Medical Group, Santa Clarita's 25th Annual Cowboy Festival will be the best yet, thanks to special events like the "Cowboy Kickoff" SENSES Block Party on Main Street in Newhall on Thursday, April 19 (Food, line dancing, a mechanical bull... oh my!) - and lots more reasons to dust off your boots and don that cowboy hat! Running in historic Old Town Newhall from April 19 to April 22, this year's fest will feature five performance stages, a variety of exquisite western merch, tasty grub like the world-famous Cowboy Cobbler and much, much more. The free-admission celebration will feature western swing music, country hits performed by Festival favorites and a fine selection of ticketed limited performances (These sell out lightning fast; don't wait!). The main Festival sets up camp at William S. Hart Park on Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22. •  Mercedes Benz of Valencia presents Sierra Pelona Valley Wine Festival - The sixth-annual Sierra Pelona Valley Wine Festival held at Reyes Winery features numerous wineries and local wine makers offering tastings of their best wines. There will also be gourmet food and specialty-item sampling, handmade crafts from local artisans, live music and lots of fun for a great day. Attendees will receive a specialty event glass, event plate, specialty gift bag, wine and food sampling and free parking. Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley will be the beneficiary.

Win Place Home, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization which offers former racehorses a good home where their transition will be smooth and calm, giving them a confident trust to move forward in life.
