 | • 2018 Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series - No more wondering what to do on Friday nights because beginning Friday, June 15, the sounds of live jazz and blues bands once again will fill Town Center Drive in Valencia. This will be the 19th year that the Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series will feature regional, national and international entertainers in a family-friendly, quaint street party setting offering activities for adults and children. Concerts run from 7pm to 9:30pm in the street outside the Hyatt Regency Valencia. Snag a table at Vines Restaurant for an amazing evening! The concert series is free.

Yet in four years, more than 2,500 injuries to children ages 4 to 6 years living in the SCV were reported. At Safety Town - Santa Clarita, young children learn about safety topics and related skills in a fun, interactive environment. They practice pedestrian and vehicle safety skills in a child-size town with buildings, streets, sidewalks, signal and safety signs where they drive pedal cars complete with safety belts. Each day, community safety professionals give safety and injury prevention demonstrations on emergency preparedness, fire prevention, stranger danger and personal safety, water/playground/bicycle/animal safety and more.  | • SC United Methodist Church Vacation Bible School - Santa Clarita United Methodist Church presents "Rolling River Rampage" this July 23 to July 27 from 9am to 12:30pm - and you won't want to miss it! At RRR VBS, your preschool-to-fifth-grade students will discover an interactive, energizing, Bible-based program that will give them an opportunity to experience the ride of a lifetime with God. Students will participate in a variety of activities: making art projects, singing new music, exploring science, participating in recreational activities and enjoying tasty snacks. The cost is $40 when you take advantage of the early-bird special by paying before May 1 (includes t-shirt). Beginning May 2, the cost will be $45 (including shirt).
