These special concerts support the Educational Outreach Program, providing free and low-cost programming for our local schools.

•  SCV Water presents Proper Pruning - Pruning your plants is a necessary part of gardening. It helps to improve growth, quality and beauty of your flowers and plants. Most trees and shrubs, especially those that flower, should be pruned in late winter or early spring before the onset of new growth. Not sure where to start or what to do? Follow along as our instructor shows you how.

•  Laser Spectacular - Paramount's "Laser Spectacular" is the smash hit multimedia laser and light show featuring the music of Pink Floyd. The show has become a favorite with progressive rock fans of all ages as it presents the music of Pink Floyd like you've never seen it before. Surrounded by walls of concert-quality sound, "Laser Spectacular" carries listeners away on a mind-expanding journey driven by cutting-edge effects, high-powered lasers, hi-def large screen video projection and special lighting effects. Viewed though specially-designed 3-D glasses, the audience is drawn into this magical production, often singing along with the remastered soundtrack.

•  Annie - ESCAPE Theatre is proud to present over 300 talented youth and teens in "Annie." You'll want to sing along to songs like "Tomorrow," "Easy Street," "Little Girls," "NYC" and "Hard Knock Life" and you're sure to be entertained with hundreds of orphans, street boys, New Yorkers, Hooverville crowds and all of the servants in Mr. Warbuck's mansion. Performances are at The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center from January 17 to January 19, January 24 and January 25 on Fridays at 7pm and Saturdays and Sudays at 2pm and 7pm.

•  Winter 5K - The Master's University Host Winter 5K Held at 9am at the Pete Reese Athletic Field, participants will receive a souvenir tee-shirt. Register online.

•  Note by Note Music Night - Note by Note is a music showcase presenting audiences with a variety of genres at this free evening of fun. Each month, bands, duos and soloists will play their own blends of music for your listening pleasure. Enjoy a wide range of music styles including rock, folk, Celtic, Americana, blues, jazz, country, experimental, Western and more.

•  Matilda: The Musical - Canyon Theatre Guild Presents "Matilda: The Musical" Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl, this Tony Award-winning musical is a captivating masterpiece that revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination and the inspiring story of a girl who dreams of a better life. Held at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons.
