General Manager, Keyes Lexus of Valencia
General Manager, Keyes Lexus of Valencia
1. Describe yourself and your professional background.
I am a passionate, focused, ambitious and driven business leader and athlete, as well as a committed husband and proud father. I'm a United States Air Force veteran.
My undergraduate degree is from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and my law degree is from Suffolk University Law School. I've been in automotive industry management for 16 years.

2. Tell us a little bit about your family.
I've been married for 17 years to my grade-school sweetheart, Bethany. She continues to amaze me every day. She is kind, patient, forgiving, brilliant, committed and an amazing mother. She helps navigate our family's journey through life, creating a more fulfilling, exciting route along the way.

We have three incredible children - a son and two daughters. Bethany home schools our children. Our oldest daughter is a competitive gymnast and our son enjoys swimming; our toddler is an animal lover at heart.

We are all adjusting to life on the West coast, having just moved from the East coast in October, when I assumed the role of general manager for Keyes Lexus of Valencia.

3. Lexus is known for the "passionate pursuit of perfection." What do you passionately pursue?
Relationships! Be it work, family, friends or athletics. People are the bright side of life. Nobody has ever accomplished anything of significance on this earth alone. Relationships make it possible to pursue your dreams, goals and aspirations while bringing others along for the ride.

4. You and your wife are triathletes. Explain the draw.
Triathlon, for us, represents our balance in life. We all have four balls to juggle: work, family, faith and "me." Training and participating in Ironman competitions is one of the ways we take care of the "me" in life. By exercising daily and eating healthy we feel energized to answer the bell of life while remaining as productive as possible.

5. Stater Brothers or Whole Foods?
We are an East-coast family making the switch, so I'm not sure what Stater Brothers is! I can say that we are a Trader Joes and Costco family. We love the non-preservative products at Trader Joes and the bulk basics like meat, milk, orange juice, etc. at Costco. We are simple eaters, preferring balanced and healthy meals. Italian remains our favorite.

6. With all your healthy living, do you have any indulgences?
We don't drink alcohol or smoke. So, it would have to be desserts. Decadent chocolate, carrot or cheese cakes...take your pick. Don't forget the fudge!

7. What gets you out of bed in the morning?
New opportunities! "Yesterday is history, Tomorrow's a mystery, Today is a gift, that is why they call it the Present."

8. What is your favorite form of entertainment?
We've been spoiled by the theater in New York. "The Lion King," "Oliver," "Shrek"... we love it all. I enjoy movies: "Gladiator," "A Few Good Men," "Shawshank Redemption." Comedies are fun, too. "Planes, Trains & Automobiles" is one of my all-time favorites. We really love musicals - like "Fiddler on the Roof," "West Side Story" or "The Sound of Music." I'll even watch a chick-flick from time to time. But I'm not a fan of scary movies. We also enjoy traveling abroad.

9. Religion plays a big role in your life, so please finish this phrase. "God is..."
Gracious.

10. If you could just convince everyone in America to "???" what would make this country a better place?
Become accountable; don't wait for the government to solve your problems. Our country is great because it was founded by individuals who were innovators, not people waiting for Big Brother. Make it happen!

11. I have three kids and a long commute. What Lexus are you selling me?
We have several great options. I drive the GX - it's all about comfort, safety and performance. It leads its class with 10 airbags, providing added protection for me and my family. It has a Pre-Collision System (PCS) that can detect an impending collision, warn me and make adjustments to help lower the severity of an impact. It has extraordinary power and remarkable fuel efficiency. With a push of a button, the seats can be adjusted for getting the kids in and out of the car or for cargo. It has great cargo space, making it versatile for skiing, biking or any outdoor activities. Come in and see me and I'll show you!
