Festival of Trees
November, 2018 - Issue #170
Kick-off this holiday season and help celebrate
the 50th Anniversary of the Boys & Girls Club
of Santa Clarita Valley at Festival of Trees!

The B&G Club is celebrating their golden anniversary with their signature holiday event that's sure to bring an extra dose of "sparkle" to your holiday traditions. What to expect when you attend Festival of Trees? Merriment - and lots of it. You'll check out elaborately-decorated and themed trees, whimsical gingerbread houses, tabletop trees, a grand holiday boutique, kids' activities and much more.

FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Children will find a variety of fun crafts and activities in the Kids' Corner, while singers, musicians, dancers and more take to the stage and strolling magicians dazzle the crowd with amazing tricks. At the Jingle Jam dance the night away, starting with swing-dance lessons that are included for beginners. And don't miss out on a photo with Santa - have your family photo taken with the big guy himself.

Why the Boys & Girls Club Needs You
Over 1,600 Santa Clarita kids ages 7 to 17 frequent the Club, accessing after-school care and tutoring; safe access to technology; leadership programs; character-building opportunities and the chance to make lifelong connections.

Membership dues don't come close to covering the facility, programming and staffing costs - it's only $60 per year, with sibling discounts - and many children receive scholarships. The goal is that every child has access to this "home away from home," regardless of their family's ability to pay.

The Club enables Santa Clarita youth, especially those who need the service the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

GIVE WHERE YOU LIVE SCV
Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley Story

The Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club's "Festival of Trees" returns November 16 to November 18. Now is the time for the community to rally together and "give where you live." The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley has made a difference in the lives of local youth since 1968. With two locations, the club provides services to nearly 2,400 local young people ages 7 to 17 with quality year-round and after-school programs focused on education, career development, character, leadership, health, fitness, sports, recreation and the arts. Through your continued generosity, the Boys & Girls Club will continue to build a brighter future for the children of the Santa Clarita Valley. The need is great and the return on your investment... priceless. Be one of many to make a difference to put a child on a path to a great future.
