Tap your Toes with "Sister Act" at The Canyon Theatre Guild
Time travel back to 1970s Philadelphia where disco is alive in the feel-good musical comedy "Sister Act" playing at The Canyon Theatre Guild in Old Town Newhall. Along her journey, she helps her fellow sisters discover their voices as she reclaims her own. Based off of the 1992 movie with the same name with phenomenal music written by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater, "Sister Act" is guaranteed to leave audiences dancing and singing along in their seats.

Swoon with "Sabrina Fair" at The Master's University
A delightful romantic comedy set in 1950s Long Island, "Sabrina Fair" ushers you into the luxurious life of the Larrabees - a family accustomed to leisure, power and influence. All is calm and as it should be until Sabrina Fairchild, the chauffeur's daughter, arrives home from Paris. She returns to the apartment above the garage a refined woman, but unsure of one thing. Could a French suitor have a chance to win her heart? Or is she still in love with charismatic and charming David Larrabee? While many would doubt the suitability of their relationship, what would David's older brother Linus think? In fact, is Linus himself immune to Sabrina's charm, excitement and love of life? Can the Larabee family survive Sabrina's reappearance in their lives? Or - maybe - they will wonder how they ever survived without her? "Sabrina Fair" is a beautiful story that sparkles with wit and humor, love and family.
Playing at The Master's University Music Recital Hall on Fridays and Saturdays, March 22 through March 30, tickets start at $10. masters.edu/theatre

Look Up with "Bright Star" at College of the Canyons
This is Steve Martin's (Yes, that Steve Martin!) powerful story of love and redemption set in the American South in the 1920s and the 1940s. "Bright Star" follows the story of young writer Billy, just home from war, trying to sell a story to a powerful editor, Alice, and the story of Alice's life 20 years ago as she faced life's adversities. As Alice unwinds the mysteries from her own past, she confronts the secrets that hold her family and community together and keeps them apart. The music ranges from, "heartache-perfumed ballads and yearning love duets to energetic hootenannies," says Charles Isherwood of New York Times.
Playing at College of the Canyons Theatre April 26 to May 5, tickets start at $6.
