No, that's not John Travolta, folks. Nor is it... Wait - we have no clue what that actress's name is... Did she ever work after "Saturday Night Fever?"

Don and Cheri Fleming, immortalized forever in the life-sized poster pictured here, again acted as co-chairs for the Boys and Girls Club's wildly successful annual auction. This year's disco inferno raised $500,000 and was by far the highest grossing B&G auction to date. Big dollars were dropped on a too-cute puppy, lots of unique furniture pieces, boxing lessons with a pro and more.

Do the Hustle! Guests of the Boys and Girls Club auction hit the dance floor to (re)live the spunkadelic mood of the '70s. Of course, the charity event doubled as a phenomenal opportunity to wear clothes that should have been burned long ago; hot pants, chest hair and platform boots (on dudes) were sported by most attendees. Attention afro wearers: Don King called. He wants his hair back.

City Manager Ken Pulskamp and Joyce Menta of Spectrum Health Clubs took to the dance floor at Dental Diner. The event, held at Councilman Bob Kellar's rustic Sand Canyon home, raised money to provide local children with essential dental services.

Councilman Frank Ferry (with Mayor Pro Tem Laurene Weste in the background), every disappearing inch of him (Ferry has lost over 100 pounds!), took to the stage at the Valencia Hyatt for the annual State of the City Luncheon. The presentation included info on the Cross Valley Connector (we would have dropped the estimated $250 million in costs ourselves this morning... Why, oh why, does it take 25 minutes to get from Valencia to Canyon Country?), the Santa Clarita Marathon (it's November 6, for all you "I can run a marathon!" show-offs out there), filming in the SCV (did you know that a portion of "War of the Worlds" was filmed here?), and more.
