Where are you eating?
Chronic Tacos
What are you eating? The Torta: Fresh telera bread smothered in refried beans, customized with your choice of tantalizing meat - Pollo Asado (grilled chicken), Carnitas (slow-cooked pork), Al Pastor (spicy marinated pork), Carne Asada (grilled steak) or get it Vegetarian with beans and guacamole.
And why are you taking all your vet buddies for Tortas? Because, in celebration of July 4, Chronic Tacos is offering a generous "buy one entree, get another entree free" deal for all veterans and active duty through July 15. (Valid at Valencia, Saugus and Palmdale locations only.). 360-1800

Where are you eating? Nothing Bundt Cakes
What are you eating? More like, "What aren't you eating?" Nothing Bundt Cakes' mantra is "Cake Changes Everything" - and we tend to agree. But we'd like to add that it's really this sweet shop in Valencia that changes everything; after all, with 10 different flavors, four different sizes and decorations for all occasions, our understanding of what it means to have our cake and eat it, too, has entirely evolved. Take the moist, rich Red Velvet - a scarlet batter of cocoa and buttermilk mixed with chocolate chips and crowned with their signature cream cheese frosting. Nothing "bundt" perfection is our take! 291-2424

Where are you drinking? Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Company
What are you drinking? Golden Eagle Ale. Why? For starters, it's a multi-award winning blonde ale with a clean malt flavor combined with mild hop bitterness. Secondly, it's a very refreshing ale, making it a perfect choice for a hot summer afternoon or evening. Finally, 50 cents of every Golden Eagle purchased at Wolf Creek goes to a remarkable non-profit organization in Santa Clarita as part of their Community Pints program. Or, visit their Brewery in Valencia on a Tuesday and they'll donate 10 percent of your entire order. You've never had this legitimate of a reason to drink beer; don't miss it!

Where are you Drinking? Sabor Cocina Mexicana
What are you drinking? Mezcalito. We're not sure how to properly say "magic in a glass" in Spanish, but that's what you experience when you try this deliciously-authentic Mexican beverage. At the heart of mezcalito is Reposado Mezcal, mezcal being tequila's smoky, sophisticated uncle in the flavor family and reposado meaning "rested" and aged in oak for two months to a year. Throw in fresh citrus, agave nectar and habanero bitters and you'll be feeling nice and easy - like you're south of the border with every order. Craving something different? Try Sabor's White Sangria with moscato, peach schnapps, fresh lime juice and seasonal fruit or the Sandia with freshly-muddled watermelon, mint, fresh-squeezed juices and vodka. 259-9002

Where are you drinking? Margarita's Mexican Grill
What are you drinking? The Double Pleasure Margarita, which is a fusion of any two fruit-flavored frozen margarita options. Choose from strawberry, melon, raspberry, peach, mango, pineapple, pomegranate, orange and banana. 255-1136
