Where's everyone going the second weekend in October? They're going to the 25th Annual Home & Business Expo, where there's something for everyone. Presented by the SCV Chamber of Commerce, Expo 25 promises to be better than ever. The celebration starts on Friday, October 9 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Taste of Expo featuring as many as 25 of Santa Clarita's finest restaurants and caterers. Just $20 supplies you with a fistful of 10 tickets to enjoy great food and drinks.

The main event on Saturday, October 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, October 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. showcases local business exhibitors, nonprofits and community entertainment for a non-stop weekend of fun and excitement. This year, Expo moves indoors to the popular Santa Clarita Sports Complex bringing community and business together for the ultimate meet-and-greet. Admission is only $1 per person.

Interested in local employment? College of the Canyons Job, Career and Intern Fair joins Expo on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Free Flu Shots at Chamber Expo for Seniors
Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital will be hosting a free flu shot clinic for seniors 65 years of age and older or adults in a high risk category during the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber's 25th Annual Home & Business Expo.

In order to receive a free flu shot, adults must meet the following guidelines: age 65 years or older; adults age 18 and older with a long-term health problem, weakened immune system, or muscle or nerve disorder; adults who live with or care for people at high risk for influenza-related complications.

Flu shots will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, with 500 doses on Saturday and 300 doses on Sunday. Participants will be required to sign a release form which includes side effects, allergies and warning information.

The free flu shots will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex in Canyon Country.
