The LapBand System is a minimally-invasive procedure that will help you lose weight permanently and safely. Health issues like diabetes and high blood pressure can be alleviated with weight loss. Make 2010 the year you finally start living a healthier life! Heal with Heat
Hot stone massage is a full-body massage that includes the placement of hot, smooth stones. The stones are typically made of fine-grain, volcanic basalt rock because of its ability to hold heat well. "Placement stones" are positioned on muscle groups (with a towel or sheet between the stone and skin); the heat penetrates the muscles, encouraging softening and relaxation. "Technique stones" are used directly on the skin during the application of massage techniques. Massaging muscles and muscle groups with the heated stones enhances relaxation, decreases tension, increases blood flow and decreases pain. Hot stone massage can also help decrease chronic pain as well as be beneficial for back pain, stress and anxiety, poor circulation, rheumatic and arthritic conditions, insomnia, depression and fibromyalgia.

The Importance of Blood Flow for Healthy Hair
Laser hair re-growth treatments are beneficial for all hair types by increasing the blood flow by 54 percent. Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) uses the scientific principle of photo biotherapy. This process occurs when cells absorb light and repair themselves. Laser light penetrates light down to the root of the hair shaft, stimulating micro-circulation of blood supply, cell metabolism and protein synthesizers. And there's no need to worry - laser treatments are safe and painless.

Do You have Pain in the Back of your Heel?
Most likely you have Achilles tendonitis. The Achilles tendon is the largest tendon in the human body and can withstand forces of 1,000 pounds or more. But it's also the most frequently ruptured tendon. If you've noticed a round lump develop behind your heel, see your podiatrist immediately - you may have a small tear of your Achilles tendon. It often begins with mild pain after exercise that gradually worsens. Other symptoms include recurring localized pain for a few hours after running; morning tenderness about an inch and a half above the point where the Achilles tendon is attached to the heel bone; and sluggishness in your leg. Treatment suggestions include a bandage specifically designed to restrict motion of the tendon; non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication; orthotics, which are customized insoles to reduce stress on the tendon and prevent injury; and switching to another exercise, like swimming. Achilles tendonitis can be a debilitating problem which, left untreated, could lead to a rupture - which would entail surgery.
