Cerec 3D Crowns can Now be Obtained in One Visit
Cerec 3D is a computerized milling machine which can fabricate a tooth colored-crown or other dental restoration in less than 20 minutes. Tooth-colored restorations mean no more silver fillings or discolored smiles. The restoration is natural looking, compatible with mouth tissue, anti-abrasive and plaque resistant. There is no need for temporaries or impressions that must be sent to a lab. Because of this, the traditional second visit has been eliminated. Only 7.5 percent of the dentists in the United States offer this technology.

Food Choices Reflected through Hair Health
Just like your body, your hair needs a balanced, nutritious diet to stay healthy. It is important to understand how the body produces healthy hair. The scalp is composed of three basic layers of skin: the epidermis, dermis the subcutaneous layer. Within these three layers of skin are blood vessels, nerves, muscles, glands, millions of cells, and of course, the hair. The hair, like any other part of the body, is supported by the blood. As the blood brings oxygen and nutrients (from a healthy diet) into the papilla area (root), it promotes cellular activity for the hair, and as these cells reproduce, they build a flexible substance called keratin (hair).

New Year's Resolution: Healthy Weight Loss and Walking
Walking has been proven to be a safe and effective means of weight loss, stress relief and health maintenance. If you are new to walking, check with your doctor before beginning any new exercise program. Healthy tips are available at www.walkinghealthy.com to get you started.

Your walking clothing should be comfortable and loose-fitting to allow you to move freely. Socks should be comfortable, provide the proper padding to absorb shock, and be made from CoolMax or other high-tech fibers. These are preferable to cotton, as they prevent blisters by keeping the feet drier.

Shoes must have the proper fit. You should have a thumbs-worth of space between your toes and the end of the shoe. This allows the toes to stretch during activity without being cramped. You should be able to easily wiggle your toes in your shoe. A good quality, supportive walking or running shoe is mandatory. Wearing canvas shoes, flimsy versions of athletic shoes or flip-flops could lead to injury.

Time does not matter as much as distance. If you speed up to walking a mile in 13 minutes or less (4.6 miles per hour - a pretty fast pace), you will be burning more calories per mile. But for most beginning walkers, it is best to increase the distance before working on speed. When it comes to working off calories, a simple rule of thumb is 100 calories per mile are burned, on average, by a 180 pound person.
