I want to state the obvious. As in your personal and business life, first impressions are very important. Think of the exterior of your home as the all-important "first impression" to potential buyers of your home. And even beyond that, exterior home improvement can be contagious, carrying over to other homeowners in your neighborhood - thus improving the overall appearance and value of the entire neighborhood. Fresh paint and nice, clean landscaping can add quite a bit of value to your home.

Maintained and a well-kept exterior implies that the home is taken care of throughout. Often times, if a home is poorly maintained with a lot of deferred maintenance, the impression is conveyed that there may be other unseen issues with the home.
