•  First-annual Grandmother's Tea Party - The first-annual Grandmother's Tea Party celebrates generations of women! No matter what culture you are from, grandmothers are loved, respected and valued. Come join the traditional celebration of strong women in our lives. A big-screen photo collage honoring grandmothers and mothers will be shown at the tea party. In conjunction, nominations for the next SCV Queen Grandmother 2010 and SCV Queen Mother 2010 are now being accepted. There will be a beautiful fashion show with designs by Mul Tayoba, and grandmothers will speak about their grandparenting secrets. Tea-time attire requested. ("Sunday's best" with a Victorian touch - big hats, gloves, jewelry and handbags.) There will be awards for best-dressed ladies.
