Every Friday evening, over eight weeks, the Santa Clarita Valley is filled with the extraordinary sounds from some of the top Jazz and Blues recording artists in the world. •  That Lovin' Feelin' - Canyon Theatre Guild Presents "That Lovin' Feelin'" This extraordinary musical biography of The Righteous Brothers chronicles the story and songs of the duo that defined "Blue-Eyed Soul" for a generation. •  Keyes Audi Valencia Hosts Free Child Safety Seat Inspection Event - From 9am to 2pm at Keyes Audi Valencia (23923 Creekside Rd.), the CHP and Keyes Audi Valencia will host a Child Safety Seat Inspection event. Please call the CHP to schedule your inspection and ask for Officer Eric Priessman (661-294-5540). There will be fun for kids, including games and interaction with fire trucks and squad cars. Parents can pick up child-ID packets, learn water safety and more. •  Barbie You can be Anything Tour - Get ready for a doll-tastic day as Barbie teaches her friends that "You Can Be Anything!" Barbie will inspire children with this new, live interactive performance as it makes its debut at Westfield centers. Barbie's show features brand-new songs that will get kids up and dancing all while discovering that they really can be anything. Barbie will also be available to pose with kids and families for photos after the show.

•  Teens Talk Drugs - On Wednesday, August 24, teens and parents are invited to attend "Teens Talk Drugs," the City of Santa Clarita's annual hard-hitting drug awareness program. Beginning at 6pm, attendees can explore the informational and educational Resource Fair. In addition to the Resource Fair, interested attendees can take part in an interactive demonstration with impairment goggles. These goggles simulate the difficulties of performing simple tasks while under the influence. At 6:30pm, the discussion panel will begin as three youth share their experience with drugs and how drugs have affected their life and the lives around them. This symposium is the sixth in the City's "Heroin Kills" series and is free and open to the public. The event is held at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway in Santa Clarita.

•  Heart of the West - Presented by the Princess Cruises Community Foundation, Carousel Ranch's annual fundraiser, Heart of the West, is gearing up to be the best yet! Guests will peruse silent auction items and have a chance to bid on live auction prizes. But the real draw is the children's demonstration, a tear-jerking experience that features Carousel Ranch special-need students wowing on their faithful steeds. Be sure to wear your dancing boots, because the fun goes well into the night, thanks to Heart of the West After Dark. Line dancing, casino tables and tours of the new Tack Shack and Ready to Work! Classroom will be held by the Ranch's first group of RTW students.
