Friday, January 12 to Friday, May 11

•  Domes - The Old Town Newhall Library will showcase paintings and mosaics by local Artist, Naomi Young in a solo art show entitled "Domes." The exhibit, featuring cityscapes of Jerusalem, runs from January 12th to May 11th. The public is invited to the artist's reception on Wednesday, January 17 from 6:30-8:00 pm. The Old Town Newhall Library is located at 24500 Main St in Newhall.

Friday, January 26 to Saturday, February 3

•  The Music Man - Escape Theatre presents The Music Man "We've got Trouble ... right here in Santa Clarita!" Let's take you back to 1912 in River City, Iowa! Enjoy the adventures of fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City into starting a band. You will stomp your foot to many of the popular tunes such as "76 Trombones," "Trouble," "Gary Indiana," "Good Night My Someone," "Shipoopi," "Good Night Ladies," and of course the fabulous "Pick a little Ladies." This production features 315 youth and teens from the SCV who are sure to make you smile! Come see "The Music Man" with your whole family.

•  Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story - Canyon Theatre Guild presents Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story - the true story of Buddy's meteoric rise to fame, from the moment in 1957 when 'That'll Be The Day' hit the airwaves until his tragic death less than two years later on "The Day The Music Died". The show features over 20 of Buddy Holly's greatest hits, including 'That'll Be The Day', 'Peggy Sue', 'Everyday', 'Oh Boy', 'Not Fade Away', 'Rave On' and 'Raining In My Heart', plus Ritchie Valens' 'La Bamba' and the Big Bopper's 'Chantilly Lace'.

•  The Snow Queen - Canyon Theatre Guild presents The Snow Queen -
Based on the classic Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale, The Snow Queen tells the tale of Gerda, a young girl who searches for her friend Kai after he is bewitched and imprisoned by the Snow Queen. On her journey, her innocence charms the good people and animals of the land, who end up aiding her on her quest to rescue her friend. Filled with heart, adventure and laughter, The Snow Queen is sure to charm younger and older audiences alike.

•  Living Well: A Healthy Start - Valencia United Methodist Church Hosts "Living Well: A Healthy Start"
This free program includes two general sessions and two break-out sessions of your choice featuring fitness, nutrition, centering prayer and yoga. A nutritious lunch and childcare will be provided. RSVP before January 25.

•  Shakespeare & Love - Spend a beautiful evening with the Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival, filled with live music, petite buffet, wine & dessert - plus a unique walk-through theatrical experience. SUSD Preschool programs offer developmentally appropriate curriculum for 3 and 4 year olds teaching kindergarten readiness skills in a caring and nurturing environment with a highly qualified staff. Multi-day & Full day options are available at select locations. They are also offering a few State Preschool options, serving low income families.
