•  SCV Summer Games - The SCV Summer Games will feature free events like child ID fingerprinting, Zumba, interactive CPR demonstrations, a ninja warrior course, cornhole, facepainting, story time, a braid bar, Grind Flipp skateboard ramp/quarter pipe and more! Plus, Manuel White, former Valencia High School/UCLA/Washington Redskins standout will be there! Sign up online to play in the three-on-three basketball tournament, track and field competition and regional football event while having a blast as a family. The Santa Clarita Summer Games brings athletes and families together to compete and learn about sports safety, healthy nutrition and proper exercise. It's all brought to the community by The DylanKeith & Laurie Foundation (DK&L Foundation), which is committed to helping our communities be more knowledgeable about window safety and accident prevention. Both Doris Laurie and Kristin Best, founders of the DK&L Foundation, lost a child due to a window fall. Through the foundation, Doris and Kristin want to educate and inform the community of the importance of securing windows in their homes.

•  Montrose Arts & Crafts Festival - Take the Family to the 35th Annual Montrose Arts & Crafts Festival where each year, more than 300 artists and craftspeople share their wares in the quaint community of Montrose. •  Youth and Romance - The Santa Clarita Philharmonic Presents "Youth and Romance" Enjoy music from the Romantic period (1830-1900) of classical music. The orchestra will feature Robert Schumann's Symphony No. 1, "Spring," and Max Reger's Concerto for Orchestra in the Old Style. While written after 1900, Reger's Concerto retains the broad, melodic passages as the works of the Romantic period.

•  Coppelia - Santa Clarita Ballet presents Coppelia, Originally presented by Paris Opera in 1870, Coppelia is considered to be the great comedy of all ballets. Set to the beautiful and recognizable music, of Leo Delibes, this ballet tells the tale of Dr. Coppelius and his life-size doll Coppelia. Coppelia, mistaken as a real woman, enchants our main character Franz. Swanhilda, his fiance, breaks their engagement as a result of his flirtation with beautiful Copelia, and pandemonium ensues! Held at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at COC.

•  SCV Youth Project Golf Classic - 5th Annual Golf Classic Benefiting The Youth Project
Held at The Oaks Club at Valencia, Golfers will compete in an 18-hole four-player scramble as well as have a chance to win a car at the Frontier Toyota Hole In One challenge - plus lots of other prizes in the live and silent auction! Golfers will receive access to golf cart and range balls, continental breakfast, on-course lunch, refreshments and post-round buffet and awards reception. •  2018 Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series - No more wondering what to do on Friday nights because beginning Friday, June 15, the sounds of live jazz and blues bands once again will fill Town Center Drive in Valencia. This will be the 19th year that the Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series will feature regional, national and international entertainers in a family-friendly, quaint street party setting offering activities for adults and children. •  Cowboy Football Camp - Cowboy Football Camp (6-14 yrs)
The Cowboy Football Camp is for all Santa Clarita youth, regardless of football experience level, who are invited to attend this fun and exciting non-contact football fundamental skills camp. Beginners are welcome and will be comfortably introduced to football. More experienced participants will have their abilities tested and improved. The Cowboy Football Camp is conducted by head coach Rich Gutierrez and his Canyon High School Football coaching staff. Lunch, snacks, drinks, and camp T-shirt provided. This year's Cowboy Football Camp will be all three days from Monday June 18 through Wednesday June 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily and is only $50 (total $50 for all three days). The camp will be held on the astroturf of the Canyon High School Football Stadium at 19300 W. Nadal Street, Canyon Country, CA 91351.

•  Splash Canyon VBS - Kids 4 years old to incoming 7th graders will experience God's promises for them on life's wild ride during three action-packed hours a day, moving to a new activity every 30 minutes, at Splash Canyon! Highlights include: BethlehemSCV's Sonlight Band leading jumpin' kid-style worship, creative crafts, wacky games, interactive Bible plays with a costumed youth cast on the Kids' World stage, a Bible challenge through science experiments, a VBS mission-minded goal that fosters concern for others, yummy snacks and a Friday-night barbecue with live Sonlight Band concert. Join the fun from June 18 to June 22, from 9am to 12pm.

•  Christ Lutheran Vacation Bible School - At Christ Lutheran Church, VBS is one of our favorite weeks of the year! Hundreds of preschoolers to sixth graders converge on our campus for an exciting week filled with learning about God's never-ending love for us! For those not quite ready to be on their own, we offer a "Parent/Tot" program, too. We love our volunteers and have opportunities for seventh grade on up. There's no age limit - we have a spot for everyone! This year, "Shipwrecked, Rescued By Jesus!" will be the week of June 18 to 22. Kids will explore all the wonders of God's creation in this dynamic, hands-on program. Your child will have a blast learning about Jesus's love through songs, skits, crafts and games. Beginning Sunday, May 6, we will have a registration table on the patio outside of church between services (8am, 9:30am or 10:45am.); online registration will begin on Monday, May 7.

•  Safety Town: Session 1 - Kid injuries involving falls, motor vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, fire, poisoning, animal bites, earthquakes and drownings are preventable. Yet in four years, more than 2,500 injuries to children ages 4 to 6 years living in the SCV were reported. At Safety Town - Santa Clarita, young children learn about safety topics and related skills in a fun, interactive environment. They practice pedestrian and vehicle safety skills in a child-size town with buildings, streets, sidewalks, signal and safety signs where they drive pedal cars complete with safety belts. Each day, community safety professionals give safety and injury prevention demonstrations on emergency preparedness, fire prevention, stranger danger and personal safety, water/playground/bicycle/animal safety and more.

•  Valencia UMC Vacation Bible School - Shipwrecked VBS takes kids to an uncharted island and anchors them in the truth that Jesus carries us through life's storms. •  Tribute to the Music of Tom Petty - WiSH Education Foundation Benefits from Tribute to the Music of Tom Petty
On Saturday, June 30, join your friends and neighbors for another unforgettable concert experience at LIMS Studios in Castaic. The David Fernandez Songwriter Salute Series has already produced 19 events - and they are incredible! Join over 40 local musicians as they celebrate the creative genius of one of the most beloved songwriters of the past 40 years. Tickets are limited and VIP tickets come with one drink ticket, VIP parking and an invite to the band afterparty. Net proceeds benefit the WiSH Education Foundation.
