Rachel* of Santa Clarita is 54, single and a mother of two independent adults. "They're out of the house, grown and gone!" she jokes when talking about her kids. "I'm dating, I take care of myself and I feel fabulous," is how she describes her life.
But it wasn't always that way, unfortunately. "For a long time, I did not feel good about my body or myself. You know that flap of skin and fat that hangs over on your stomach after you have kids? I had it and I hated it. I wore long shirts to cover it up, always. I could lose 30 pounds and still have that flap. No amount of exercise or dieting would make it go away."
Here's what he did: a tummy tuck and lipo body sculpting with Dr. Justin Heller, owner of Heller Plastic Surgery. "I have a flat stomach! I have curves! I'm down almost three pant sizes. I have more incentive to take care of myself now, too - because I feel so much better about myself. I lost about seven pounds just from the procedure and right away there was a very visible difference, even with the swelling that happens immediately after surgery," says Rachel.
"My recovery was SO EASY. I went back to work 10 days before I planned! And now I have a cute new belly and I feel great in a bathing suit. I'm already saving up for my next procedure with Dr. Heller - and my mom is thinking about driving down from Sacramento and getting the same treatment from him. She's so impressed with my results!"

"With patients like Rachel, it's especially important to not just 'tuck' the superficial layer of skin and fat, but to tighten the muscle and tendon structure beneath. Pregnancy and age can dramatically affect those tissues, so to truly whittle the waist and flatten the tummy, I use minimally-invasive methods for the most aesthetically-pleasing result," says the board-certified surgeon. "Dr. Heller also used minimally-invasive lipo sculpting on my flanks and above the hip to create an even more desirable, feminine silhouette," says Rachel.
"The only regret I have is that I didn't do this a long time ago," explains Rachel. "This has totally changed my attitude about life and my self esteem. I feel so good! It's just amazing! Before choosing Dr. Heller, I consulted with two other surgeons. Both had lots of experience but made me feel like I was just a number. One told me, 'I do a million of these! Piece of cake!' - but while it was no big deal for him, it was a big deal for me. Dr. Heller understood that. I adore him! He made me feel like I was his only patient and that he had all the time in the world for me. The whole staff made me feel that way! No one was ever rushed and I felt like he really, really listened."
Heller Plastic Surgery is located in the Atrium Building next to City Hall in Valencia. The comfortable, well-appointed office is now accepting patients and scheduling complimentary consultations.
