"I've always been small - really small," shares Jennifer, 33, of Santa Clarita. "I was totally out of proportion. Having tiny breasts affected me so much that when I graduated from high school, my parents offered to pay for implants - that's how bad my body shape affected my self esteem, my relationships, my choices, my life!"

Jennifer's story isn't all that unusual, says Dr. Justin Heller, board-certified plastic surgeon and owner of Heller Plastic Surgery. "People are beginning to understand that the desire for plastic surgery is rarely a matter of conceit. Often, what our clients come in for are issues that deeply effect how they perceive themselves, even their value as individuals. Whether it's a mom who is self conscious about sagging stomach skin or a young adult who was teased during childhood because of a 'hook' nose, the new way of looking at it is, 'Why suffer and feel held back in life when you don't have to?"

"My life has TOTALLY CHANGED. I am much more confident. I can fit into clothes that I never could fit into before. I would have to wear a bra with 4-inch pads just to look Ok. I feel so much better about myself, which has changed my relationship dynamics for the better. Everyone who knows me says that I am beaming! I should have done this so much sooner."

That's what prompted Jennifer to begin her search for the perfect plastic surgeon. "There were deaths in my family and I was feeling extra bad about myself. I finally came to the conclusion that it was time to be happy."

Jennifer began meeting with well-respected surgeons. "I had consults with four other surgeons before I ever met Dr. Heller," she says. "I never signed on the dotted line because I didn't feel entirely comfortable. Every one of them said something like, 'Tell me the smallest you want to be and the biggest, and when we're doing the surgery I'll decide what will look good and go with that.' I wanted to have more say with the end result, so I kept looking."

"I actually made an appointment with Dr. Heller 100-percent based on his high reviews," she recalls. "My first impression was, 'Wow, he has a really great personality!' He was warm and didn't rush our consult. He's just a very likeable person and his qualifications and confidence were a huge draw. What cinched it was how engaged he was when discussing what look I was going for and what size I wanted to be. He made it clear that that was it - it wasn't going to change in the operating room. That put me at ease instantly."

After a through review of the pros and cons of each option, Jennifer opted for Gummy Bear silicone implants, going from a 34 A to a 34 C. "If you didn't know me before, you'd never think that I had implants. That's how natural they look and feel."
"It's the simple things that make this feel too good to be true, even three months after my procedure. Trying on bras and they all fit! Putting on a dress and not needing four inches of padding to fit into it. I am so, so happy!"

Dr. Heller and his staff made the process even sweeter. "This was never, 'surgery and done.' Dr. Heller and his staff went above and beyond, checking in on me and making everything so easy. I felt so comfortable with every aspect of this procedure and loved everything about this experience."

Jennifer's advice to those considering surgery: "Everyone should do this. How you look changes how you feel about yourself. If you have something that is bothering you, something that might have bugged you your whole life, why live like that? Why not choose to be proactive and do what makes you feel so much better about yourself? I wish I had chosen to be happy so much sooner. I love my life now!"
