How did you determine the name of your business? Ben We started with the name "Brent's Fashion Floors" in 1979. In 1992 we joined a flooring cooperative named Carpet One and changed our name to "Brent's Carpet One." In aligning ourselves with Carpet One we gained the purchasing power of over 1,600 stores nationally, giving us tremendous buying power and nationally-negotiated pricing.

What inspired you to go into this business? Brent There is a unique feeling when you have changed the way a customer perceives their home, a unique satisfaction that comes from creating something beautiful.

What is the coolest service that you offer? Ben "The Beautiful Guarantee." Our sales people are some of the most experienced in the industry and they are uniquely qualified to help our customers choose the right floor for their home. We are so confident in our service, that if you don't like the way the floor looks in your home, we will replace it with another floor for free. Folks can check with the store for details.

What is the most amazing product that you offer? Ben We have many amazing products in flooring and window treatment categories, but one that stands out is actually a synthetic hard surface flooring. It has four times the wear thickness of our other hard surface floors, looks identical to many stone/wood floors, but is much more resistant to wear and tear.

What does the future hold for your business? Brent We have had incredible growth in the 29 years we have been here, and we attribute that to the quality of our service, the integrity of our staff, and the licensed, reputable installers that we use to install every floor. We see our family business continuing that legacy for another 30 years (at least!).

What's one thing that someone out of the loop would never guess? Brent When I was in my early 30s I was diagnosed with aggressive skin cancer and given less than a 50/50 chance of surviving. Through modern medicine and the grace of God I have been blessed to raise my family, serve in my community and church, and continue serving my employees and customers through this business.
