What's the coolest aspect of your business?
Absolutely the coolest part of our day is meeting a family with a need to care for their loved one and being able to match up a wonderful caregiver with the exact skills, experience and personality to meet their needs.

What is the most amazing thing about the product that you offer?
It's awesome to be able to keep seniors in their own home, surrounded by the things and the people they love, despite the challenges that age and health changes can bring.

What does the future hold for your company?
We hope to expand our service area and be able to seek out opportunities to provide skilled caregivers who are specially trained in Alzheimer's and dementia care.

What is unique about your business?
There are several things that make Visiting Angels unique among other companies that provide homecare. We get to know our clients and their unique needs before the start of care and work with them to make sure the appropriate caregiver is providing care. Our services are supervised by our care manager, who is a Registered Nurse. We are flexible with scheduling and very easy to talk to because we truly care about our clients, their families, and our employees. Since there is no oversight of our industry in California, we hold ourselves accountable to professional organizations and are certified by the California Association for Health Services at Home.

What's one thing that someone out of the loop would never guess?
I think people would be surprised that those who are providing care at home are such fun and amazing people. Our caregivers have different experiences, strengths and backgrounds but they are all caring and nurturing people who blow us away every day by their character. Also, I think some people may be surprised by who is utilizing homecare services. Although some of our clients are quite disabled or are at the end of life, many of our clients are doing quite well independently and use our services to help them get out into the community or provide assistance with home chores, grocery shopping and meal preparation.
