Wally Dickey's father passed away when he was in the sixth grade - and in seventh, his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.
"I thought I was going to become an orphan," says Dickey. "So I said to myself, 'I gotta learn something real quick.'"
While his peers were out playing with friends, Dickey was scouring the neighborhood for old appliances. "I'd take them apart to learn how they worked," recalls the founder of Conejo Services.
