Injured by a Drunk Driver? You Need Aggressive Legal Counsel
The damages of an accident caused by a drunk driver can be ruinous - there are few combinations that are more fatal than mixing drugs or alcohol with driving. No one should ever have to live with the consequences of such gross negligence.
Damages may include catastrophic injuries, brain injuries, spinal-cord injuries, burn injuries, disability and/or permanent disability, disfigurement, loss of limbs or necessary amputation for injury-related issues, non-physical damages, including total loss of your car or vehicle and wrongful death of a loved one.
If a drunk driver caused your accident, not only will the driver be financially responsible for the damages that have been wrongfully caused to you, but the drunk driver will also be criminally accountable for their misconduct.
You may require access to a variety of medical professionals after your injury, need immediate access to transportation and more. Choosing an aggressive team of legal professionals with extensive experience can benefit you both during and after your case.

Wyatt Earp Case Upholds Right to Dispose of your Property After Death
In a recent case, the California Appellate Court upheld the right to dispose of your property however you wish upon your death. Hugh O'Brian, best known for playing Wyatt Earp in the hit '50s television show, died in 2016. He left a trust where he stated his intention to disinherit his children, whether known or unknown. After his death, four individuals claiming to be his long-lost children claimed a share of his estate under the omitted children rule, resulting in a four-year court battle. The court ultimately upheld O'Brian's right to dispose of his property how he wished.
This case highlights the importance of having your wishes clearly stated in your estate-planning documents. Your right to dispose of your property according to your wishes can only be carried out if they are clearly stated. A generic fill-in-the-blank trust might not be sufficient if someone decides to challenge your estate plan after your death. When creating an estate plan, ask yourself: "Are my intentions clearly stated in my estate plan?"

Scott Yang for Judge in 2020
by Scott Yang

My name is Scott Yang and I am running for Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Seat 162.
My family emigrated from Vietnam in 1979 when I was 4 years old. I was a "boat baby," arriving in America where my family had nothing but the hopes of making a better life.
I spent the first five years of my career in private practice, where I represented numerous poor families who were wrongfully evicted.
In 2008, I joined the District Attorney's office, where I fight for victims of sex crimes, child molestation and child abuse leading to death. In 2017, I was on the trial team who sought justice for Gabriel Fernandez.
I spent my career fighting for those most vulnerable. I am a prosecutor with a reputation of integrity and the courage to do what is right. I am endorsed by over 55 Superior Court judges. On November 3, I need your support and your vote.
