If You're a Victim of Insurance Bad Faith,
You Need
Experienced Help

As a law-abiding citizen, you most likely pay your dues to your insurance company. Despite the costs of insurance, you still pay your monthly premiums with the assumption that your insurance company will be at your side in the event of a major emergency, accident or personal injury. However, if your insurance company fails to pay you your rightful money when you are in need. If you are the victim of insurance bad faith or if you suspect that your insurance company is acting in bad faith, you must act quickly.

Insurance laws in the state of California require that all insurance companies act in good faith to policy holders in good standing. Under the protection of the law, your insurance company must act in the best interests of its policyholders. Unfortunately, this does not always happen. Examples of insurance bad faith may include:
• Unreasonable denial of your claim
• Unreasonable delay of your claim
• Failure to settle a valid claim on behalf of an insured policy holder

If your insurance company has acted in bad faith, you may be entitled to receive punitive damages. You may be able to collect the money owed to you under the contract of your policy. In addition, you may be able to collect more compensation for the injuries or damages that you sustained as a result of the unreasonable act of bad faith.

There are many red flags that can indicate bad faith is going on. If you have recently filed an insurance claim, keep an eye out for these indicators. If you believe that any of the following or a related circumstance is grounds for a lawsuit, then don't hesitate to contact a personal injury attorney.
• Denial of coverage without adequate explanation
• Failed attempts at communication between claimant and adjuster
• Refusing an insurance claim without conducting an investigation
• Keeping policy limits a secret
• Offering a claimant less money than the claim is actually worth
• Failure to provide information in a timely manner

Mike Nix Brings Operations & Project Management to Timeless Club

Over the past 25 years, Mike Nix has enjoyed a successful career in operations management and project management in golf clubs and golf real estate developments. His focus is on creating quality facilities and communities with an emphasis in providing world-class service to its members. Mike now joins Arcis Golf, owner and operator of Valencia Country Club, as the general manager.

Prior to joining Arcis Golf, Mike served as the senior project manager for Toll Brothers, Inc. (TOL, NYSE ) in Moorpark and was the general manager for ClubCorp at Braemar Country Club in Tarzana. In both assignments, Mike took a lead role in operations management and project management, achieving national recognition in quality awards.

Prior club experience included a variety of roles for American Golf Corporation (vice president of operations, regional director, regional manager and general manager). Throughout his career with AGC, Mike distinguished himself by leading his teams in generating new membership products, providing quality services and delivering over $100 million in capital improvement projects, which included the construction of golf courses, tennis, swimming, range facilities, and remodeling of four clubhouses.

Starting out of University of Southern California with an emphasis in Finance/Real Estate, Mike's experience also included commercial real estate projects and CFO/general manager of a start-up a plastic material handling manufacturer, Hyroler Relocation Systems, Inc.

Mike and his wife Jackie have lived in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1993 and now live in Newhall with their three children, Chad, Courtney and Grant.
