•  Be a Santa to SCV Seniors - You can help make seniors' holiday hopes come true - and all you need to do is pick up a gift tag from a participating Be a Santa business! Beginning November 16, SCV residents can drop into numerous local businesses, pick an ornament off a tree and help a senior feel special during the holidays. The ornaments have the senior's name and gift preferences; all you have to do is purchase the gift, put it in a gift bag and return it to one of the participating stores. Sounds like fun, right?

•  Donate Soup to Help Local Seniors - Did you know that some seniors in our own community have difficulty obtaining food? Soup can be a warm and nutritious meal that is easy for them to prepare. Visiting Angels is collecting donations of soup that will be donated to seniors who access services of the Santa Clarity Valley Senior Center. Soup donations can be dropped off at the Visiting Angels office Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm at their offices at 24001 Newhall Ranch Road. Donations will be accepted December 1 to January 15.

•  The Master's College ComeChristmasSing - The Master's College presents this year's Come ChristmasSing concert series, "It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas". It will be an evening of musical celebration featuring traditional holiday favorites for all ages, Christmas scenes and light refreshments. In it's 32nd year, this concert will also include choruses from Handel's "Messiah", all music being performed and directed by students and faculty of the Department of Music. •  Holiday Snowflake Festival - River Oaks Shopping Center hosts their annual Holiday Snowflake Festival, held from 1pm to 4pm, has so much free fun packed into it, you'll need to bring extra shopping bags to carry it all home! This entirely-free event benefits Carousel Ranch and includes pictures with Santa (One professional photo will be gifted to each family.), cookie decorating, letter writing to Santa, fresh-made doughnuts, sledding in real snow, balloon artists and more. •  Son of God, Love's Pure Light - The Valencia Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites the public to attend "Son of God, Love's Pure Light," an annual Christmas Concert presenting the Biblical Christmas story of the birth and life of Jesus Christ. In addition to a choir, soloists and full orchestra, the performances will include a narrated visual presentation. There are three performances: Saturday, December 12th at 7 pm and two performances on Sunday, December 13th - at 5 pm and 7:30 pm. All performances will be held at the Valencia Stake Center located at 24443 McBean Parkway in Valencia. Admission is free and open to the public.
