•  Melissa Etheridge - Melissa Etheridge stormed onto the American rock scene in 1988 with the release of her critically-acclaimed self-titled debut album, which led to an appearance on the 1989 Grammy Awards show. Known for her confessional lyrics and raspy, smoky vocals, Etheridge has remained one of America's favorite female singers for more than two decades.

•  32nd Annual Silver Spur Celebration - The College of the Canyons Foundation will honor Steve Corn with the 2024 Silver Spur Community Service Award in recognition of his longtime support of the college and their philanthropic contributions to the Santa Clarita Valley.

Sunday, April 14

•  Bloom Fest 24 - Strawberry & Fig's 2nd annual Bloom Fest will take place once again at Central Park on Sun. April 14th, from 11-6. Free admission!
This fun-filled family event will once again be the BIGGEST Spring shopping event in Santa Clarita.
Over 200 local & talented Artisans and Crafters have been hard at work creating one-of-a-kind handmade items just for you. As if that's not enough, there will be trendy & affordable boutique clothing in the Strawberry & Fig Booth, permanent jewelry, face painting, pre-packaged food, and direct sales vendors. Plus, DJ Josh Kelly will be there along with many of your favorite food trucks.
This is the first of two Spring Events by Strawberry & Fig. The next will be on May 25th in the Bridgeport/Real Life Church Parking Lot.

•  UCLA Health presents Demystifying Cancer - A cancer diagnosis can be confusing and overwhelming. Join UCLA Health cancer care experts as they demystify all things cancer for patients and their loved ones, share information about the meaning of a cancer diagnosis and outline the world-class treatment options available at UCLA Health Santa Clarita. Held at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center.

•  SENSES Saddle Up Block Party - The wildly popular SENSES Block Party brings live music, food trucks, themed activities, and adult beverages to Main Street every Third Thursday from March to October. Saddle up for a rootin' tootin' good time at our "Saddle Up Block Party" - a western-themed extravaganza that brings the spirit of the frontier to the heart of our Oldtown Newhall! Dust off your cowboy boots and grab your Stetson, because this is going to be a hoedown like no other.

•  Virtual Online Foster Care & Adoption Orientation - Attend this one-hour virtual online orientation and learn how to become a foster parent. Email and a link to the virtual meeting will be sent to you.

Friday, April 19

•  How the West Was Won - Carousel Ranch hosts its 15th annual "How the West Was Won" charity shooting event at Moore N' Moore Sporting Clays - and it's going to be a blast! Teams compete for trophies, titles and prizes awarded during lunch catered by Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Company. This is a great way to spend a Friday - at the range with good friends raising money for the kids at Carousel Ranch.

Saturday, April 20

•  FREE Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste Drive-Thru Collection Event - Safely dispose of your household hazardous waste (HHW) and Electronic Waste (E-waste) for FREE on Saturday, April 20 at the College of the Canyons (26455 Rockwell Canyon Rd). This event is open and free to all Los Angeles County residents. Business waste is not accepted at these events.

Some items that are eligible for disposal are paint, batteries, fluorescent light tubes, CFL bulbs, vehicle fluids, cleaners, solvents, pesticides and electronics. For a complete list of acceptable and unacceptable items, refer to LA County's HHW Guide.
