COC's Silver Spur Celebration & Raising the Bar Fund

The COC Foundation is at the forefront of fostering philanthropic contributions that empower the college to surpass the limitations of tax-based funding, championing excellence in education, vocational training, scholarship and innovation. At the heart of the foundation's mission is the enhancement of COC students' welfare and academic achievements. In response to the unique and unforeseen hurdles students face, such as job loss, childcare disruptions, rising healthcare expenses, food insecurity and the digital divide in remote education, the foundation has initiated the Roger Van Hook Raising the Bar Student Achievement Fund. Under the leadership of Tamara Gurney, president and CEO of Mission Valley Bank and currently the foundation's immediate past chair, the foundation is dedicated to making a tangible difference in students' lives. Join friends and neighbors for the Silver Spur Celebration's 32nd Annual Event on April 13, benefiting College of the Canyons Foundation, a cornerstone of culture, education and economic growth in the Santa Clarita Valley. Your support can change futures.
