The Holiday Season is Back at Canyon Theatre Guild
Friday, November 28 to Tuesday, December 23
Kick off the most festive time of the year with Canyon Theatre Guild's hit production of "A Christmas Story," opening Thanksgiving weekend. CTG's holiday family classic, "A Christmas Story!," includes all of the nostalgic scenes you love, like the exploding furnace, Scut Farkas, wet tongue on a cold lamppost, the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin and the leg lamp - they are all here! Bring the whole family, heck... bring the whole neighborhood! They promise not to, "shoot your eye out kid!"
The Artistic Director of the CTG, TimBen Boydston, said, "This is one of our audience's favorites because it's a fun and funny look at childhood and family traditions. Although set in 1940 in the Midwest, it resonates today because of the timelessness of the Christmas holidays." The Canyon Theatre Guild's holiday show is a Santa Clarita tradition. The Guild's playhouse is decked out in holiday finery to greet theater goers, who are delighted with live caroling in the lobby and the smell of hot apple cider.

Dance Studio 84 Presents "The Nutcracker"
Saturday, December 20 & Sunday, December 21
For over 30 years, Dance Studio 84 has been performing the Nutcracker Ballet right here in Santa Clarita with new choreography, professional costumes and the dedication of 200 ballerinas.
The Nutcracker is the story of a girl named Clara who receives a Christmas gift of a nutcracker from her Uncle Drosselmeyer. Her brother Fritz is gifted with a toy mouse. After their family's joyful Christmas party is over, Clara falls asleep and dreams that her Nutcracker and Fritz's mouse come to life! They battle, the Nutcracker wins and turns into her prince. The Prince takes Clara through the Snow Forest and to the Land of the Sweets, where all of the beautiful ballerinas perform for them. At the end of the show, Clara wakes up to realize it was just a dream - an amazingly wonderful dream to say the least!
This year's production will be held at the Hart High School Auditorium on Saturday, December 20 and Sunday, December 21. Every dancer has worked so hard to make this a spectacular show that you won't want to miss!
