Great Finds - Fulfill your Need for Speed at MB2 Raceway
August, 2007 - Issue #34
Finally, there is a place where racing enthusiasts can trade their work attire for a racing helmet and fulfill their insatiable need for speed. MB2 Raceway is an exciting, challenging and professionally-designed venue located in the new Cascades Business park just off the Interstate 5.

Geared up yet? There's more, race fans. MB2 is the only one-of-its-kind indoor racing complex in the Los Angeles county and the state-of-the-art facility spans over 60,000 square feet. The raceway features emission-free Italian electric race karts which reach speeds up to 50 miles per hour and are safe as well as adrenaline inducing.

It gets better. In addition to MB2's affordable racing prices (of $23 for an adult race and $20 for a junior race), they offer a weekday lunch deal for customers who've sprung for time behind the wheel. The company also offers racing "TrackPasses" which are available for repeat racers and feature packages of races, MB2 t-shirts and front-of-the-line access.

The only thing better than racing on the cheap is getting someone else to pay for it entirely. In addition to making go-kart racing available to the general public, MB2 also hosts many corporate events such as team-building workshops, business lunches, networking events, parties and company banquets. MB2 also hosts birthday parties and will rent out their facility to large groups. The raceway is conveniently available to both the Santa Clarita Valley as well as the San Fernando Valley due to its traveler-friendly Sylmar location.

Owned by family-friendly folks Chris and Martine Brooks of Santa Clarita and Will and Stefanee Miller of Tujunga, MB2 is dedicated to providing an exciting atmosphere for racing fans while remaining safety conscious. Children under the age of 18 are encouraged to race as long as they are accompanied by their parents or have a signed waiver (which is conveniently available on the company's website). MB2 provides helmets and other safety apparel items, however, they recommend that drivers come prepared with closed-toe shoes and long pants. The raceway also provides a mandatory briefing session on safety precautions to implement while racing.
