LAUGH
Chuckle with Canyon Theatre Guild's Two New Comedies Opening September 22

Ken Ludwig's "The Gods of Comedy" and Joe DiPietro's "Over the River and Through the Woods" will open September 22 and September 23, respectively, at Canyon Theatre Guild. Both opening performances will have a free wine and champagne reception for ticket holders.
Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig creates some of his funniest work in "The Gods of Comedy." What happens when you accidentally call on ancient Greek gods of comedy to get you out of a mess? For professor Daphne Rain, the first surprise is that the gods show up. The Ivy League will never be the same after a pair of screwball deities encounter the carnal complexity of college coeds, campus capers and conspicuous consumption!
"Over the River and Through the Woods" is a boisterously-funny, heartwarming story about
Nick Cristano, the only family member left who religiously spends every Sunday Italian feast with his tender-hearted, loud and loving grandparents in Hoboken, New Jersey. The routine is about to be broken because Nick has been offered the job of a lifetime in Seattle. The grandparents come up with a scheme in order to get Nick to change his mind by secretly inviting Caitlin, a beautiful, sweet, smart woman over for Sunday dinner.
You won't want to miss your chance to see either of these hysterical stories on stage. Both productions will run until the last weekend of October. Tickets are $19 for adults, $17 for seniors and $15 for students.

Fall in Love Again with Jane Austen's "Emma" Beginning October 20 at TMU

The Master's University Theatre presents "Emma" this fall - and you're going to love every well-spoken word of it! Based upon the beloved novel by Jane Austen, "Emma" navigates the sometimes-perilous path towards growth and maturity and learns that interfering in the lives of others, even with the best of intentions, is not as innocent and fun as it may seem. "Emma" runs October 20 to October 28.
