Child & Family Center's Taste of the Town combines everything any well-respecting Santa Claritan desires: delicious eats (Most of us would consider the portion sizes distributed by the restaurants "samples." Of course, the handful of 45 year old women sporting their daughter's size-0 jeans would call them "my week's allotment of food.") and a much-craved opportunity to see and be seen (Especially the paint-on-jeans set.)
Full disclosure: I'm five months pregnant and the only jeans I can wear require an elastic waist. Am I bitter, jealous or both? Only time, and hormones, will tell. (The answer's "Yes." That was quick.)

Of course, it was hard to "see" everyone. The event's obvious success could be measured by the substantial throng of folks milling about individual restaurant "tents," perched under trees or taking in a cooking demonstration.
Some TOT guests had a very busy weekend, what, with being nominated for
Man & Woman of the Year and all. This category of greatness included
Jill Mellady,
Bruce Fortine and
Greg Amsler (Who, with wife
Chell, will be chairing the Boys & Girls Club auction on June 14.)

Also spotted were
Cory and
Dave Peterson, who are the new parents to precious two-month-old
Lauren Peterson. The lovely
Jennifer Serraino (owner of J. Serraino, which, by the by, sells gorgeous clothes - sadly - none with maternity bands) and husband
Larry were also out enjoying the beautiful weather.
PS: The winners of Man & Woman of the Year were
Carl Goldman and
Judy Penman. Congrats!
