The key to living the Christian Life has to do with understanding the ministry of the Holy Spirit. I believe that every day can be an exciting adventure for the Christian who knows the reality of being "filled" with the Holy Spirit and who lives constantly, moment by moment, under His gracious direction. The moment a person becomes a Christian they are regenerated, baptized, indwelt and sealed with the Holy Spirit. These are one-time, permanent experiences. Here are "7 Words" that help me to understand this spiritual life.
Fruit God has provided for us an abundant, fruitful and powerful Christian Life. (John 10:10, Galatians 5:22-23, Acts 1:8)
Flesh Worldly or carnal Christians who live in the flesh and not the Spirit cannot experience the abundant, fruitful and powerful Christian life. (1 Corinthians 3:1-3, Galatians 5:16-17)
Filled I believe Jesus promised the abundant, fruitful and powerful Christian life as the result of being filled - directed and empowered - by the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 5:18)
Father This overflowing life of the Spirit is the desire of our Heavenly Father and is available for all who sincerely seek it. (Luke 11:9-13)
Faith We are filled - directed and empowered - with the Holy Spirit by faith; then we can experience the abundant, fruitful and powerful life that Christ promised. (1 John 5:14-15)
Flow When we live moment by moment, filled with the Holy Spirit, our lives shall overflow with rivers of living water. (John 7:37-39)
Fight This abundant, fruitful and powerful Christian life is a threat to Satan and his forces of darkness. So expect a fight. Be strong in the Lord and in His strength. (Romans 7:18,23, 8:5, Ephesians 6:10-12)
