Hope is Risen

One of the things we know to be true at Valencia United Methodist Church is "God's love changes everything." This finds its fullest expression in Easter.
It is in our celebration of the resurrection of Jesus that we rejoice God's love and hope made real - death is conquered; love wins; and we are invited into a new identity.
For the struggles that we face daily in our world, in our country, in our valley and in our homes, hope rises at Easter and it has the potential to change everything.
Join us for worship this Season.
Our usual schedule is Classic Worship at 9am and Modern Worship at 10:30am. Easter Sunday morning we celebrate with three identical services at 8:30am, 9:45am and 11am.

The Master's University Set to Host 30th Creation Summit

Commitment to a literal six-day creation has marked The Master's University since its founding.
On February 24, the University will reaffirm the importance of this biblical teaching at its 30th annual Creation Summit on the school's Newhall campus.
Speakers Dr. Bill Barrick and Dr. Joe Francis will present on the theme, "Creation: An Essential Doctrine."
Dr. Matthew McLain, who heads TMU's School of Science, Mathematics, Technology & Health, said, "Both of these speakers will point us back to why creation matters and how it informs what we do in theology, science and life."
Barrick brings decades of expertise as an Old Testament scholar and former professor at The Master's Seminary. Francis is a research scientist in the fields of immunology and microbiology, and a recently-retired professor of biology at TMU.
According to McLain, the Creation Summit strives to educate and encourage Christians by sharing the fruit of ongoing creation research.
"We get to reach out beyond our TMU community to share creation science and theology with the public," he said. "Over 30 years, we have been able to bring in experts in fields like geology, paleontology, biology, astronomy, archaeology and biblical studies, who love the Lord and are passionate about displaying God's glory to specialists and laypersons alike."
