"This home gave my team and me the opportunity to create an elegant coastal oasis, with blue serving as the inspiration throughout," says Melissa Diaz of Stunningly Staged Homes.
"Blue accents, warm wood and soft textures create a relaxed and inviting palette," explains the designer.
"Our client loves to cook and bake, so both sides of the island have working cabinets for more storage. It was incredibly helpful to know where she wanted to place all her appliances and accessories; everything was crafted with exactly the right storage specifications so that being in the kitchen feels organic and incredibly custom," says Diaz.
The island, in a quartz material with dramatic oversized veining, runs up the backsplash as well - no grout lines! - as a nod to sophisticated luxury. Custom built-ins provide ample storage for the homeowner's baking appliances while a panel-ready refrigerator keeps the aesthetic cohesive.
What was once a "basic builder" cut-out space for a smaller TV is now a refreshed entertainment center that hides cables while illuminating showcase pieces with custom lighting.
"For the layout, we were able to accommodate a larger refrigerator, a double-stacked oven and range hood that became a focal point with the arch, which matches the same arch of the pantry door and in the family room; it really pulls it all together."
