New Dementia & Mental Health Services from Home Instead
Home Instead is proud to announce expanded services to better support families caring for loved ones with dementia. As a local care partner in Medicare's new GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) program, Home Instead now helps eligible seniors receive comprehensive dementia care management at no additional cost.
Launched in July 2024, GUIDE is an eight-year pilot program designed to improve quality of life for individuals with dementia - and to reduce burnout for unpaid caregivers through education, support and structured respite.

Medication and care coordination
Ongoing check-ins from dementia-trained professionals
Critical caregiver training, emotional support and 24/7 navigation help
To participate, individuals must have a dementia diagnosis, be enrolled in Medicare Parts A & B and not be in Medicare Advantage, hospice, PACE or long-term nursing home care.
The first step is finding a participating health care provider, like UCLA Health. If your plan doesn't participate, Home Instead can help assess eligibility and connect you with the right resources.
In addition, Home Instead now offers virtual mental health counseling through Teladoc, available to both clients and their family caregivers. These confidential sessions with licensed professionals are available by phone or video, with many costs covered by insurance.
