Straight Teeth, Better Health & a More Confident You
Orthodontics isn't just about a beautiful smile - it's about how your mouth functions and how your body feels every day. Modern clear aligners make it easier than ever to straighten your teeth discreetly, comfortably and effectively.
Curious if you're a candidate? Here are the top reasons patients choose to align their smile:
• A wider dental arch creates more space for your tongue and airway, offering improved breathing support and airway balance
• Straighter teeth are easier to brush and floss, reducing plaque buildup and bacteria
• Less inflammation makes for healthier gums and surrounding tissues
• A healthier oral microbiome supports overall wellness
• Cleaner teeth stay whiter longer, with less staining and buildup
• Improved oral hygiene and airflow lead to better breath control
• A more balanced bite and jaw help teeth fit together the way they should
• Healthier chewing function reduce chipping, recession and wear
Clear aligners don't just refine your smile - they help optimize how your teeth, jaw and airway work together. The result? A smile that looks great and supports better daily comfort, health and confidence. The best way to know what's possible is with a personalized orthodontic consultation. Discover if clear aligners are right for you - and what straightening your teeth could unlock for your smile and your health.

Diabetes Increases the Risk of Hearing Loss
If you or someone you know has diabetes, you are probably familiar with the damage the disease can do to the circulatory system. What you might not know is that the same glucose overload that destroys parts of the body can often impact hearing ability.
How does Diabetes Affect Hearing?
One of the most common symptoms of diabetes is nerve damage to the hands, feet, eyes and kidneys. Although less known to people, diabetes can cause nerve damage in the ears as well. Over time, high blood sugar levels can damage the small, delicate blood vessels of the inner ear, resulting in hearing loss.
For those who have low blood sugar, the nerve signals that carry sound to your brain can be damaged as well, leading to sensorineural hearing loss.
What the Research Shows
Studies have shown that diabetics are more than two times as likely to develop hearing loss. Even people with prediabetes have a 30 percent higher rate of hearing loss than people with normal blood sugar levels.
Hearing loss can weaken a person's ability to communicate, can lead to depression and isolation and can even contribute to dementia.
What You Should Do
Diabetics and their families need to be aware of this increased risk as screening for hearing loss, unlike vision, is not among the current tests routinely given to diabetics. Advances in technology and testing make diagnosing and treating hearing loss easy, eliminating any further barriers to improving the auditory health of those with diabetes.
Call Santa Clarita Hearing Center to learn more about the connection between diabetes and hearing loss and to schedule a hearing screening.

More Hair in 2026, No Plugs Necessary
If you've been struggling with hair loss or a receding hairline, you know that most products that claim to restore your hair... don't. And while there are some pharmaceuticals that do bring back some hair for some people, the side effects are often too difficult to manage long term - and once you stop using the product, hair can stop growing. These frustrations often drive hair-loss sufferers towards hair plugs - but the surgical process is frequently painful and the results can look anything but natural.
Today, an innovative treatment can help patients suffering with hair loss grow more hair, faster. This procedure is done with precision placement and without an incision by grafting thousands of individual hairs per session. This technique yields natural-looking results and the opportunity to grow your own real hair. Dr. Justin Heller of Heller Plastic Surgery offers this procedure by providing patients with a comfortable experience and a dramatic transformation. Individual hairs are implanted, one by one, with a graft vacuum system that removes, then deposits and places the follicles beautifully.
Curious? Call Heller Plastic Surgery for more information.
