Resource-wise Water Features
It's hard to make your home feel like an oasis when you live in an area that is under constant threat of severe drought - but it's not impossible. Case in point: recirculating ponds that not only use water wisely, but contribute positively to the surrounding natural elements. Draw beautiful birds and butterflies to your yard, adding authentic ambience that relaxes the mind and puts the soul at ease.

Remove Grass, Add Color, Texture & Variety
Saugus resident Brandt Buffham worked with a local landscape designer to transform his uninspired grass into a beautiful landscape with color, texture and variety. For his project, he removed 1,300 square feet of grass in his front yard. He replaced it with a variety of Mediterranean-inspired drought-tolerant plants, shrubs and groundcover. Some of the plants that bring color and texture to his landscape include White Texas Ranger, Dwarf Heavenly Bamboo and Diamond Frost Euphoria. He also replaced the path leading up to the house with a beautiful brick pathway that ties in with the exterior accents of his house. Replacing his lawn with a quality mix of natural materials and hardscape gives his home great curb appeal! Log on to learn about CLWA's lawn replacement rebate.

Protect your Investment with Paint

Say Goodbye to Unwelcome Visitors
Both ants and aunts have a tendency to arrive with little notice and overstay their welcome! From tiny black ants to the big and biting red variety, experts expect this season's ant problems to multiply in comparison to recent years, thanks to the SCV's heavy winter rains. One of the most pervasive pests, ants require a multi-front attack to get them out of your house - and keep them out. A three-zone assault is required, starting in your yard, then moving to your perimeter and into your home, if necessary. Not a big fan of pesticides, but really, really hate ants in your house and on your property? Green options are available.
