Meet Me Under The Mistletoe
January, 2018 - Issue #160
Two years ago, my team and I designed this home top to bottom with a chic farmhouse aesthetic - and now we're back... just in time to bring a fresh new take to that old-time Christmas feel!

ABOVE: Pine cones, washed wood, galvanized metal and plenty of greenery- these elements and more set the tone for the perfect farmhouse take on traditional Christmas decor. LEFT: The Southern-inspired architecture of this Santa Clarita home lends itself perfectly to festive garland on the balcony.

LEFT: Layers upon layers of gorgeous textures and greenery are dotted with pinecones for an organic, earthy garland. The galvanized metal "Joy" declares the theme of holiday gatherings with friends and family. RIGHT: A rich emerald green pairs with matte black accents, galvanized metal and rose-gold cutlery. The large centerpiece makes a dramatic statement thanks to plenty of textures for added interest. To add a little whimsy to the space, the two head seats have a different setting; sage-green and black dishware, a white and black placemat and grey and white striped napkin pair perfectly together.

ABOVE: Miniature pieces - a mailbox, trees and darling deer - add a whimsical feel to the buffet under the stairs. RIGHT & INSET: Emerald and grey-green accents were added to this space, a festive addition to the gold tones carried through the rest of the home. Layered place settings with brass silverware and plenty of greenery makes for an organic, inviting tablescape.

"These are a few of our favorite things!": wooden bead strands, pinecones and wooden stars on Christmas trees; a washed-wood take on the traditional advent calendar; pairings of little trees in different heights, colors, materials and textures; gold-accent everything; Christmas trees in bedrooms (They're the perfect night light!).

"These are a few more of our favorite things!": flocked trees with glittering white and metallic ornaments; hanging stars; metallic champagne-colored everything; little reading rooms; whimsical deer decor; fun Christmas signs; cozy layered throws; sparse Charlie Brown Christmas trees; garland everywhere.
