Sears is #1 for Appliances
Especially when You can get them for Free!
July, 2013 - Issue #105
Homeowners know that when it comes to buying appliances, selection counts - but so do knowledgeable, friendly sales staff. Luckily, Sears has both in spades.
On a recent trip to Sears at the Westfield Valencia Town Center, we met store manager Darrel Lee for a tour of the vast appliance department.

We knew going in that Sears has the biggest selection of appliances anywhere; but it's one thing to "know" something and another thing entirely to see it. The well-organized department was filled to the brim with a coveted collection of appliances from respected brands like Bosh, Whirlpool, LG, GE, Kenmore and more.

Also present: incredibly helpful appliance experts who were ready to spring into action whenever a question was posed. These pros were simply perfection. It was evident from the offset that their goal was to help us find the right appliance that fit our needs, wants and budget.

We partnered up with Ron Felico, a Sears appliance professional who's worked in the department for over 37 years. A wedding musician (He plays bass.) when not helping folks like me figure out which fridge is best, Ron seemed to be an encyclopedia of appliance knowledge, guiding us to the best values and sharing insider tips.

We'll be back - especially after learning about how we can earn points towards free appliances, electronics, merchandise and more!

What we Really Want
Finally, a Washer that's Big Enough for our Family

The 5.1-cubic-foot Kenmore Elite front-load washer features a large capacity for big loads of laundry. The built-in steam cycle virtually eliminates the need to pre-treat stains. A sanitize option kills 99.9 percent of certain bacteria without using harsh chemicals.

The Kenmore Elite washing machine gives you 10 wash cycles to choose from, so each load of laundry - from work clothes to delicate fabrics - gets the custom care it needs.

A Large capacity washer includes a comforter cycle to easily tackle bulky bedding

A SmartMotion periodically tumbles loads up to 19 hours after the wash cycle is complete to keep clean laundry smelling fresh

A Kids Wear option tackles tough soils and stains, adding a second rinse to help protect sensitive skin

A Rugged Wear option aggressively cleans stubborn stains on sturdy fabrics like work wear, throw rugs and heavy blankets

A Handwash cycle cleans delicate fabrics - like wool - with the same amount of care as washing by hand

Pair it with the 9.0-cubic-foot Kenmore Elite gas dryer, which handles large loads of laundry with less noise. It carefully dries delicate fabrics without sacrificing performance. A steam generator reduces wrinkles, odors and static cling.

The Kenmore Elite has internal sensors that detect moisture and prevent over drying. When a load is finished, a special cycle gently tumbles without heat, so clothes will still look and feel like they're fresh out of the dryer hours later.

A Drying rack is perfect for drying lay-flat items

A Workout Wear cycle gently tumbles clothes without heat after the drying cycle has stopped

A A check vent sensor alerts you to exhaust issues that can hinder performance and possibly raise safety concerns
