Homemakers' grand opening drew large community support.
10th Semi-Annual Spring and Fall Home & Garden Shows

Saugus Speedway, Santa Clarita's largest special event facility, is now taking sign-ups for the 10th Semi-Annual Spring and Fall Home & Garden Shows. Attendance for these three-day events tops 18,000 people. The May Show will take place on May 19, 20 and 21, so don't delay in sending in your application for exhibit space (as spots are limited and are filling up quickly) or mark it on your calendar as a "must-attend." Homemakers Off to a Great Start with Official Ribbon Cutting for the Disneyland of Furniture Stores

On the eve of February 16, Homemakers Furniture celebrated the opening of its new showroom located at 26455 Ruether Avenue with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. "The ribbon cutting seemed to make it all official," said owner Tim Wickman, "and to have the community behind us the way they are - that's what makes it all worthwhile."

Free Monthly Landsape Education class at CLWA on April 8

Castaic Lake Water Agency provides free monthly landscape education classes. April's class focuses on irrigation basics and runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. CLWA is located at 2734 Bouquet Canyon Road, located at the top of the driveway above Central Park. Help Old Town Newhall on April 22

From 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., help clean up part of SCV's "home" to make Newhall ready to be shown off in conjunction with the Cowboy Poetry Festival. Volunteers will plant flowers, water plants, clean cowboy saddles and provide sidewalk maintenance. Individuals, clubs and troops are invited to join in on the spring cleaning.
