MY Truth about Today's Real Estate Market

Here's a sweet reminder about what you already know: Corporate media only makes money when you tune in, so they sometimes tease some pretty wild claims to get your attention. Of course, after you listen closely, you hear the real truth - that things aren't really as dramatic - or interesting - as it was made to seem.
As a realtor and broker associate with 33 years of experience, it's hard for me to hear the words "crash" and "bubble" these days in reference to our real estate market - because all that alarmist language isn't reflecting the truth those of us working in the industry know and see every day.
Here's what I can tell you about what my clients are experiencing right now: record sales prices, multiple offers, low interest rates, stress-free sales and purchases.
My team and I have sold nearly 100 properties already this year - we can tell you from experience that these are not one-ofs or outliers. The vast majority of our clients are benefiting mightily from the current market... even those who are buying.
Could the market take a dip soon? Of course - and that would be a natural, expected correction after a very unusual, unprecedented 18 months. But are we ripe for a dramatic crash? In my opinion, there's no indicator that suggests we are, beyond the talking heads on TV who get paid to get you panicked and blood boiled so you keep watching.
If you're thinking of selling your home, now is a great time to do it because of your chance of making a very substantial profit, not because you're afraid of what's around the bend.
