Locally, our Santa Clarita market is much less "bubble" and much more a reflection of simple supply and demand - but that doesn't mean our community is immune to national and regional trends that show a cooling of the once-steaming-hot housing market. Realtors like me with over three decades of local experience can tell you, though: there's always money to be made in any market - you just have to know how. We talk to potential buyers every day who are highly motivated to buy a home here because of our extraordinary schools, community amenities and convenience to their jobs and businesses. People still want to buy homes in Santa Clarita - and the market is a long way from "flooded" with inventory.
While recent economic events have caused buyers in general to hold back on record-breaking bids, in our experience, we're still seeing other buyers ready to take their place - especially on properties priced at about $900,000 and below. We may not be getting 10, 20, 30 offers on a house regularly anymore - but you only need one highly-motivated buyer to make for a very profitable sale... and we have a lot of those.
