You usually start thinking about eyelid surgery at the end of the day, when the weight of the tone-less skin on and around your eyes has finally taken its toll and you find yourself feeling more tired than you should. You complain to a co-worker more often than you'd like to admit: "I literally cannot keep my eyes open." But you also find your mind wandering when you put on your makeup or stare in the mirror for more than a moment. "When did I get so old?," you wonder.
"Dr. Heller is an amazing person, very friendly, always available, and very personable with his patients. [His staff] are those type of people who you look forward to seeing because they always
lift you up and make
you feel great."

If this sounds familiar, you aren't alone. "Many women and men in their 40s, 50s and 60s are realizing that an eye lift can instantly make them feel and look substantially younger," says Board Certified plastic surgeon and Owner of Heller Plastic Surgery Dr. Justin Heller. "Because the eyes are the first things people look at when they glace at your face, they're the most telling indicator of age. Sags and bags often make a person feel older and less attractive. But in an in-office setting, in one to two hours with only local anesthesia, we can rejuvenate the eye area and make it appear 10 to 15 years younger."
Upper and lower eyelid treatment can be performed in Dr. Heller's comfortable, welcoming office.

"We remove the extra skin, tighten the membrane and smooth the transition between the upper and lower eye. During your consult, we'll discuss your goals and determine if you'd prefer additional treatments like a brow lift and/or dermal fillers for the ultimate return to the look of your youth."

The consult is also the time you'll meet the rest of your team. "Patients always comment about how friendly and helpful my staff is," says Dr. Heller. "They greet you with a smile; they are respectful of your time and they are always available to answer any questions," says the plastic surgeon. "We all believe in being 100-percent accessible to our patients 24-7. My patients have our cell numbers and know they can call us in the middle of the night or on the weekend. We work hard to make sure that everyone who walks in and out of this office feels entirely confident and extremely well taken care of."
Heller Plastic Surgery is located in the Atrium Building next to City Hall in Valencia. The comfortable, well-appointed office is now accepting patients and scheduling complimentary consultations. 661-233-4949

Ask Dr. Heller
QUESTION I want an eyelid lift, but I can't take a lot of time off work. What kind of recovery does this procedure require?

My patients heal very quickly, as my process is significantly less invasive than other methods used. Because I engage the tissue beneath the skin with a microsurgical procedure, you won't have a lot of sutures - and the ones you do have will be removed after only five days, which is when you can also begin wearing makeup. Bruising is minimal, too. Depending on the work you do, you can be back in the office the day after your surgery if you want to be. And, once you're there, you'll feel more awake and relaxed because your muscles won't be working overtime to keep your line of vision clear from excess lax skin and fat.
