Ensorineural Hearing Loss:Permanent but Treatable
According to Healthyhearing.com, if you've been diagnosed with hearing loss, you're not alone - one in eight Americans over the age of 12 have hearing loss in both ears. Of the three types of hearing loss, more than 90 percent is sensorineural in nature.

Sensorineural hearing loss means you have damage to the hair cells in your inner ear or to the nerve pathways that lead from the inner ear to the brain.

Although most sensorineural hearing loss is permanent, many with acquired sensorineural hearing loss may benefit from wearing hearing aids. Those with severe sensorineural hearing loss - both congenital and acquired - may benefit from a cochlear implant, electronic hearing devices that are implanted directly behind the ear.

Visiting Angels Celebrates 10 Years in Santa Clarita
Visiting Angels of Santa Clarita opened for business in August 2005 and has been making a difference in the SCV for 10 years. The company is co-owned by Geneva Knoles and Renee McCloud, long-time SCV residents who raised their families in our community. Visiting Angels is honored to have provided services to more than 500 local families, enabling them to remain in the comfort and security of their own home. Visiting Angels offers a wide range of services that help seniors in our community be independent and cared for in their own homes.
